Rev. Dr. Robb Ring
Sr. Pastor
Office: 714-538-2373
Pastor Ring has been serving in the pastoral ministry since 1994. He began his church work in a non-Lutheran, contemporary evangelical church setting, but after much prayer and study, was led to the Confessional Lutheran Church and was colloquized into the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod in 2014. Concurrently, the non-Lutheran congregation, East Anaheim Christian Church, in which he had served as pastor for almost 18 years, decided to join him in the colloquy process and became a confessional Lutheran church.
Pastor Ring recently completed his doctorate degree at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. His dissertation focused on the “Comprehension and Perception of Core Lutheran Faith and Practice Within the Undergraduate Student Body of Concordia University Irvine”. Ring continues to hold a deep interest in discovering effective ways to communicate the historical beliefs and practices of our confessional faith to new people of all age groups.
In addition to church work, Pastor Ring also serves as a part-time professor of Philosophy at Concordia University in Irvine. After his undergraduate and seminary studies, Pastor Ring also completed a graduate program in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling at Hope University in Fullerton.
Pastor Ring is married to his beloved wife Bethany Ring, who is an attorney, currently practicing with a municipal defense law firm in Riverside, California. She has previously served as an accomplished forensic scientist with two degrees in mathematics. In addition to their love for learning, Pastor and Mrs. Ring have three, wonderful, high school age boys, Austin, Zachary and Darren.
Pastor Ring loves being at Immanuel Lutheran Church. “I have found this to be a church family to be extremely devoted to the enduring truth of Holy Scripture and the centrality of Christ in all that we do, while also being extremely loving and welcoming. This church is filled with faith, humor and hugs!”
